| Clock's go back an hour on SOONDAY At 2am on Sunday morning the clock's go back in time! This officially means that anything you do between the first 1am-2am DOESN'T COUNT so you can do whatever the hell you like! Toilet paper the classic grand, have those extra ten drinks, ask that girl out! Even if she says no it doesn't matter because you get to live the whole hour again and do it differently as soon as 2am strikes. I have no idea if clubs are open an extra hour, but I'd presume so. Forbes? Barry?
Look, they even made an advert with a stripping eastenders star which literally burns your eyes to watch and end with him having a wank in a bath.
Don't forget to turn your clocks back.

| usually not, the regular extension licence that's up on the wall in the office at work has usually been worded to explicitly prevent that - you get to close when you normally would have as if the clocks hadn't changed in spring, and likewise have to shut at what would have been the normal time in autumn. it MIGHT be different under the new licencing laws but as for the most part things are more draconian i doubt there'll be an extra hour of fun permitted.

I'm joking. All I care about is remembering to change back my clock so I can eat my early bird special then watch Come Dine With Me. Life is good.

| Re: Clock's go back an hour on SOONDAY I remember being out (not in Glasgow though) and thinking when the clocks went back "whayyy, instantly one extra hour to dance and so on." And the place just shutting at the new 3 am time?
However this Saturday I will be working night shift. Agh. |

| Re: Clock's go back an hour on SOONDAY some years the licence didn't actually mention the days when clocks change so clubs could choose to stay open if wanted, though it was always a gamble whether the police would get a bit huffy. i practice we've always found that when we get an extension til 4am for the whole of december, comparitively few punters actually stay that much longer anyway and certainly don't spend much at the bar after three - they've done their drinking by then so you're just paying bar staff and stewards with no income to support it.
