I got talking about a great movie I haven't seen in a long time today called The Entity. It's a movie starring Barbara Hershey about a young single mother who is trying her best to be become a successful woman. Her seemingly happy life is then devastated when she starts to experience furniture being violently thrown around her home and is then brutally beaten and raped multiple times by an unseen force. No-one will believe her and the doctors want to put her away to stop her harming herself. She then meets 2 paranormal investigators who decide to take on the task of finding out if there is actually an evil demon abusing her...
That sounds like a pretty good film plot doesn't it? What if I told you the end credits state that it is based on a true story? All day I've been reading up on this film as well as the true story. As far as I'm aware these incidents did actually happen, whether they were the acts of a melovant spirit or an extreme case of mental unbalance I do not know. Both arguments would make an interesting topic of discussion I think anyway.
Pics and article to come...
