I am not off sick much but if I ever am, it is having to be awake to call someone by about 8.30 that does me in when I just want to sleep and get rid of whatever bug I have.
Worse still is when people I work with get their husbands to call in for them when they have a cold or something. Usually on a Monday or Friday on a sunny day or when they were going away for the weekend

#193 | | Guest | Re: The official office workers thread. it was so weird when i stopped working in tescos, they told me it was cool not to go in and work my notice cause i'd done like 6 years, but i was in such a habit i got up and changed before realising i never worked there anymore!
no way would i've handed in my notice if i'd not secured this job, but i did leave a well earned couple of weeks between the two!! | |

| Re: The official office workers thread. Wahoo - a lovely solicitor I work with just called me to say he is driving 250 miles to here in October to take me to lunch as I have been doing too much work for a year. No reason for it. He is just taking me to lunch. Let the good times roll!
