Tomorrow I'm going to donate a pint of that red stuff that flows through my veins, and I encourage you all to do the same. I could sit here and list off a hundred reasons why you should all do the same, but it goes without saying really (though I'll give a link to the Scotblood website, to prove I'm not just being lazy: http://www.show.scot.nhs.uk/scotblood/index.html). You all know it's the right thing to do, so barring those with an excuse (ie. tattooed or pierced within the last year, etc, see here), you should get off your backsides and do something good for someone else.

I can't give blood in the US....if you've lived in Scotland anytime during the mid-80s to early 90s, you're permanently forbidden to give blood in America.
That said, I try to encourage anyone who can to do so - leaves you a bit dizzy afterwards, but it's a good warming feeling knowing you've made a major difference to some unlucky bugger out there.
