Tbh both me and the bf thought the new album was poop, nothing like the old stuff, a lot more mainstream but I still think it'll be a good gig.

Anyone who thinks the new album isn't better than recycled grunge riffs is stupid. It's nothing great but it's better than:

To be honest, if you categorize Silverchair by that one song then anything is bound to be better in comparison. It's one of these overplayed and over-rated songs that really doesn't show them in their best light.
Neon Ballroom had some of the most interesting pieces Silverchair have put to record, whilst Diorama was poppy yet faithful enough to become a firm favourite.
I've given the new album a good listen and while there are some interesting bits and pieces, it seems his stint with The Dissociatives has brought a quirky feel to the new tracks though.
I'm looking forward to the gig though, as from the live stuff i've seen they can put on a good show and really push the sound further than what's there on the album. | |

Edinburgh Corn Exchange is incredibly easy to get to, Get the train from Glasgow to Edinburgh, Jump on a train to slateford and your there.
