Gig: Korn, Flyleaf and Deathstars, 17th of January, Academy***tickets just released***

Nu Metal pioneers Korn have announced a UK tour for the beggining of next year. The last time they played Scotland was the ill fated Download Scotland in 2004 and the last time they did their own headline show was at the SECC in 2002 on the Untouchables tour.

This time round they play the Carling Academy on 17th of January tickets go onsale on Friday, I'll post a link nearer the time.

Support comes from hotly tipped Americans Flyleaf (who supported Stone Sour at the Academy) and German industrialists Deathstars (who sold out the Cathouse earlier this year)

Actually, I would go if I had money out of a general curiosity, so depends on if my money comes through by Friday, and if Tickets Scotland is busy. Won't go out my way though, even if everyone tells me they were amazing at Download

AWW SHIT! I'm all over this, obviously.

Can't believe the SECC gig was half a decade ago, WHUT! KoRn always have pretty sub-par support bands, though, in my opinion. Last time we got Puddle Of Mudd, this time we get Flyleaf.

Flyleaf are a Christian nu-metal band with a fair couple of albums under their belt, their potential "hot tipping" days have probably been and gone.

Totally! Drifted from Korn after Issues, but got drawn back into them thanks to the new album - loving that. Plus Deathstars in support...I LOVE Deathstars and missed them at the cathouse in May (they're Swedish btw, not German).

It's not the SECC, it's the Carling Academy. And I just got a standing ticket for £25 off eBay, "WFP" cheaper than if I had bought it from the box office. HEAVY VICTREEBELL, MATE.

Deathstars are doing a signing at Avalanche in Glasgow tomorrow (thurs 17th) at 3pm
