Odds on the Cavalera Conspiracy headlining the second stage, and just belting out classic Sepultura songs? Might just be worth it, especially with Bodom before them. | Just go to a better festival and see the both of them.

| Re: Download Festival 2008 So Ace Frehley's at the festival but not playing with Kiss? Either there'll be a big reunion, or there won't and they're hoping lots of people will show up thinking there will be. |

my IE must be gubbed! | You'll be on www.downloadfestival.com, the US festival version. Try www.downloadfestival.co.uk
I'm quite impressed I managed to make that point without one comment pointing out that you have to be pretty thick not to twig something is wrong at your end when the dates and venue of the festival have been set since last year. Quote:

Really though, it is crazy to be doing it like this. While I'm no fan of most of the acts on there, it seems a fairly reasonable Download line-up if you take a step back and look at it, but if they'd just released the artists lists in two batches people would accept it a lot easier, rather than waiting weeks on end for a band you like. Like I said above, it's surely the only festival I've ever known of to do this, and probably with good reason.

| Re: Download Festival 2008 They were apparently having a "big metal" announcement this week.
Apparently it'll be in with the next announcement next week. Going by the bands, the only 'big metal' announcement I can think of is that they are building a large iron structure.
