| Re: Download Festival 2008 I had a great weekend....but the trek to the main arena from the campsites was shockin...ended up dying most the weekend...with nose bleeds, sneezing and a sorethroat.
I think i saw about 5 bands the whole weekend, the stage positioning was a disgrace!!!
On a lighter note......the bands i did go to see were amazing |

On a lighter note......the bands i did go to see were amazing | Exactly my thoughts. The lay-out was fucking titwank, 20-25min walk even from the closest campsite, fuck right off.
The atmosphere was awful, which can be put down to the weather, the fact that there were 30,000 less people there and that I think the average age this year must have been 16.
Dillinger Escape Plan, The Wildhearts (Who were cut off on their last song...PRICKS.) and Cavalera Conspiracy were the best for me,only caught 3-4 other full sets.
With the weather being gash, that lead to the nights being reasonably quiet, other than in the Duracell tent.
Riht enough I just got full o' it and had fun, but only because I was monged and my pals are decent, otherwise it would have been beyond terrible.
I also had some random wee tunnel digger burd swinging for me this morning because I torched my tent, what the fuck it had to do with her I dunno, as there must have been 50 odd folk doing the same nearby, I had to try my hardest to stop myself for smacking her one, daft boot.
Not going next year unless the line up is spectacular.

Although the bands weren't great, the weather was pish and the crowds were generally wanks, I had a blast.

| Re: Download Festival 2008 Is shocking that this year Stone Sour or Slipknot didn't play. They've played every other year. The cunts.
Did anybody see Kid Rock?

| Re: Download Festival 2008 Had a fuckin great time.
Not too many of the bands were to my taste (or anything like it!) but was there with good peeps and it made it in the end.
Thought the weather was actually pretty good apart from the brief down pour on Saturday afternoon. Also thought that apart from the walk to the main arena, the set up for the stages was pretty good. Was more like sitting in a park chilling out depending where you were.
Seether and Motorhead were good, Priest, Kiss and Cavalera Conspiracy were fuckin amazin!!!
The only bit of the whole weekend that was a bit shite, was when Incubus were on and played Drive. Last time I heard that was at big Fraz's funeral, was a bit gutted
Kid rock pulled out, Westy.

| Re: Download Festival 2008 Did he? Cunt. Thank fuck I didn't go then. They'll need a belting line up to make me go down again.
It seems like it was a bit of a weird set up compared to previous years.
