| Re: Download Festival 2008 I think if The Offspring headline then it'll be a first having a Punk band do so.
I'm going anyway regardless of the bands.
Rest of the line up will be announced over the next few days.

Kiss, The Offspring and Lostprophets are to headline this year’s Download Festival.
Also joining the bill in the first wave of announcements are Judas Priest, Mötorhead, H.I.M and Rise Against.
Tickets for the festival, which takes place at Donington Park between June 13 and 15, are on sale now.
| I wouldn't say The Offspring or Lost Prophets will be able to pull a 50,000+ crowd on their headlining days. |

| Re: Download Festival 2008 It's the worst headliners since the first year Download started back, easy - probably the worst collection of headliners in Donington's history. I love The Offspring but they've not been good since before 2000, Kiss have never really been big over here and the Lost Prophets are the Lost Prophets, never Donington headliners in a million years. |

| Re: Download Festival 2008 I would like to see the offspring and kiss, but not as headliners. Judas priest should at least be one of the headliners instead of lostprophets.

| Re: Download Festival 2008 KISS are now on the official Download site, also added were Motorhead and Rise Against.
Makes me all the more gutted I'm missing it this year, first Download I'll have missed.
But it is a weak bill so far, no way are Offspring or Lostprophets big/good enough to be headlining DONINGTON! |

| Re: Download Festival 2008 I think Lostprophets will do an amazing job to be perfectly honest.
After seeing them three times at festivals and three times at their own gigs, I have to say they are much better at festivals, theys eem to try harder.
Reading last year was an amazing performance from them, if it wasn't for Nine Inch Nails after them they would have been best of the weekend.
Honestly, I think the people moaning "oh they arent as big as *insert "legendary" band here* so they arent worthy of headlining" are a bit close minded bout it really.
Saying that, I do that a lot too, so whatever
