| Re: Download Festival 2008 Lostprophets are so shit and with the rumoured line up at leeds and reading this year download seem to have picked up all the shit bands once again for headliners. I admit Kiss would be good live as a laugh but lostprophets and the offspring?
With leeds having apparently Metallica, RATM and the Foos then I know what one I would much rather go to.

| Re: Download Festival 2008 Even Judas Priest wouldn't have been a good headliner, unless you're a devoted fan then 90 - 120 minutes of Judas Priest is a tall order for the average Download patron. |

| Re: Download Festival 2008 Lostprophets were absolutely dreadful at Leeds last year. They are headling at Download? This festival appears to have gone down the shit pipe with that. I was considering going but the rest of the line up would have to make up for Offspring and Lostprophets and I cannot see it happening. We'll see though.

| Re: Download Festival 2008 Rise Against!
Offspring are past it.
Kiss are past it.
Lost Prophets are piss poor live, from on the hill at Leeds Im sure we left after 3 or 4 songs, did we not Holly? We werent even so far back, they just couldnt fill the stage the way bands like NIN and the Foos can.

| Re: Download Festival 2008 If I remember rightly we left after about 3. They were just awful. The bloody singer was a complete joke and has absolutely no stage presence at all - and we had to put up with RHCP who failed to bond with the crowd at all and even their stage presence was better than LP.

Offspring are still tremendous fun live.
Rise Against, there's only so many times you can say FUCKING YAS.

| Re: Download Festival 2008 I dunno. The line ups don't seem to be as strong as the years go on. And Download is gonna run for 10-15 years the guy in charge said. Hmmm.
I'll go for Kiss though. And Rise Against. I'd probably prefer Leeds this year, as RATM & Metallica? C'mon. Plus i'm really loving The Enemy and they'll probably play Leeds. I'm gonna try and make both of them.

Lostprophets are, frankly, shite. And if a half-decent band headlines the tent on the same night as them, I think we may see a case of 'Korn syndrome'. |
