| Re: My Bloody Valentine this band are nuts. just got the loveless album and it's the first time i've heard them but they sound like a collage of indie bands from the early 90s. definitely lots of lush and the fannies, even a wee bit of curve and cocteau twins. i can see why shields has such a reputation as a guitar player because the big orchestral sounds he's getting out of it is amazing.
my mate got a ticket on ebay for thursday, says it was only £9 so if anyone's not got one and wanting to go then they should check that out.
i love when you sleep! that's an indie anthem

| Re: My Bloody Valentine That was fucking mental.
When my ears started hurting even though I was holding the earplugs in as far as they would go, I knew it was time to leave.
I'm sure I saw tshirts outside which said "I went to a My Bloody Valentine gig and all I got was this lousy hearing aid"... |

| Re: My Bloody Valentine Yeah, and I'd say to everybody who thinks they're too cool for earplugs that they're fucking idiots.
The sound last night was akin to having a jumbo jet above your head for nigh on half an hour (that was just the end). |
