| Re: My Bloody Valentine I'm going tonight. I look forward to the agony and the ecstacy but I can't help but imagine my ears are slightly more used to crazy loud volume than some of the folk in this thread
I spoke to someone after the gig last night who didn't even mention the noise, but then I remembered they go to gigs by extreme noise bands all the fucking time... Quote:

| Re: My Bloody Valentine wow! is it legal to go that loud??? the bastards stripped searched me as well before i went in and i was like do i look like i'm on drugs yet and they must've thought nah you look like captain sensible hand over the earplugs.
i love the way they started with their anthems and the girl singer who plays the guitar, don't know her name but she's in my phone book for the deaf. she was so cool, her casual stare into the distance i know was deep inside the song but it also looked deep inside my err mind. i didn't get to see much of the other girl in the middle cause she was pure metal just staring at the drummer 'challenge me'! honestly i can't believe they come from just up the road and i've never got into them before cause that gig was superlative, they just kept pulling rabbits out the hat, one point i thought they were dnr jnr ha and then kurt rised from the hashes and then everybody, i almost thought he was cheating at one stage cause he was getting so many harmonics out of his set up i thought well ok this is a numbers game, when you play thet many harmonies all at once then you're bound to sound like someone! then it dawned on me that they are way beyond their time. keep music live!
