| Re: Iron Maiden - Twickenham Stadium, London. 5/7/08 Plus, getting tickets for Glasto is rock solid and requires far more effort than strictly necessary for the chance to get rained on in a field while taking psychotropic drugs and listening to bland music. Just drop some acid and sit out yer back with the tranny on, alternating between Radio 1 & 4.

Nah seriously, I've always wanted to go to Glastonbury and I've promised myself that I'm at least going to try and get tickets next year. |

| Re: Iron Maiden - Twickenham Stadium, London. 5/7/08 As mcuh as I like Maiden i'd be suprised if they can fill a venue that size without a reasonable support band, which is worrying cause they've taken shit like Trivium out on tour with them recently.

| Re: Iron Maiden - Twickenham Stadium, London. 5/7/08 Who are these goofs trying to fool here? There's no way that Maiden are big enough to sell out the full Standing allocation of Twickenham within a week, which means one of two things:
1) They're going to release more at a later date. The fact that it was 'sold out' previously will spike interest and the next allocation will be scooped up much quicker than they would've normally. That's a classic festival trick.
2) The standing allocation was tiny in the first place, which is no use to me anyway, as there's no way in hell I'd be going to this gig to sit and watch them from pure miles away.
Worst comes to it and I have to go to Europe to see them then I won't be sad anyway. If I can get to this gig I will, but I'm not convinced Twickenham will be a good venue, or up to much as far as sound levels/atmosphere/curfew times goes. Probably not worse than Donnington, but what is?

| Re: Iron Maiden - Twickenham Stadium, London. 5/7/08 If Maiden played a set solely comprising of old songs, I'd whip it out and beat it off there and then. Since I doubt that'll happen, I doubt I'll be going.
High-Five!

| Re: Iron Maiden - Twickenham Stadium, London. 5/7/08 They already did a tour in 2005 playing songs only of the first 4 four albums and they will only be playing songs from the first 7 on this tour. That's what is going to happen but since you seem to know better, please don't go.

It's a relief too, since Standing briefs are going for upwards of £80 a pop on eBay the now.

| Re: Iron Maiden - Twickenham Stadium, London. 5/7/08 I'm gonna need to miss this, since I'll be playing at Metalcamp the same weekend.
Gutted about missing Maiden, especially on this particular tour, the setlist is stunnin'.
Duty calls though, eh |
