| Iron Maiden - Twickenham Stadium, London. 5/7/08
Iron Maiden have confirmed their only UK show for 2008 at Twickenham Stadium in London on the 5th of July 2008 as part of their Somwhere Back in Time World Tour.

Enough with the press release and on to the debate.
It's an interesting idea for Maiden, I don't know if they can pull it off. 50,000 capacity (according to Ironmaiden.com for this show, it's far more than that for an England Rugby International) is huge in the UK for Maiden, far more than Download attracts. With a strong support line up they can probably grab 35,000 to 40,000 which wont be a bad turn out.

But aye, I'll be all on this shit, but like Lovey, I'm not convinced it'll be a total fill. Decent enough draw anyway, with no real drama to get tickets, which is good enough. Fuck knows what Twickenham will be like but. Come to think of it, in all my years, I've never been to a gig in a sports stadium. Will be interesting if nothing else.
