he freaked me out this time to be honest.

the lights coming up on the crowd constantly was irritating and made me feel self conscious. it was one step away from a big flashing 'sing here' sign, and was made ten times worse by chris wandering about the stage with a thoroughly creepy smile that made my skin crawl as he watched his audience sing.

ewww... it felt like some sort of preacher and his brainwashed crowd.

much preferred dashboard when it was the full band and there wasn't a ridiculous attempt at breaking down audience/performer barrier using lights when that barrier was already down enough to maintain a bit of emotional anonymity.

as for the lighting state changing to blue when chris sang the word blue during 'remember to breathe', that was horrible.

to sum up, chris: fire your lighting crew and remember to bring your whole band with you. also, get rid of that sickly sweet smile. it's horrible.

Nah. I'm the exact opposite. I've always preferred Dashboard as just Chris. He was way better as an acoustic singer/songwriter than he'll ever be with the band.

BUT. I wasn't close enough to see the "creepy" smile. I thought he just looked cheery.
