| NWOBHM legends DIAMOND HEAD + Attica Rage @ Barfly this April!
DIAMOND HEAD were part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal scene that emerged in the early 80s, along with Iron Maiden, Saxon, Def Leppard, Blitzkrieg, Venom and others. They inspired a new generation of metal that followed with Metallica & Megadeth citing the band as an important early influence. Metallica famously recorded & covered Diamond Head’s classic songs ’Am I Evil?’, ’The Prince’, ’Helpless’ & ‘It’s Electric’ as b-sides and still regularly perform them in their live sets.
Diamond Head released their latest album ’What’s In Your Head?’ on Livewire/Cargo in 2007 and the band toured the UK and Europe including KIT Festival, Germany, Diamond Head’s first headlining tour of Ireland and the Hard Rock Hell festival weekend in UK. DIAMOND HEAD headline the Glasgow Barfly on Thursday 17th April with support from Attica Rage and Rollin Thunder. Tickets are £10 – buy them from Attica Rage and avoid paying the booking fees – FREE postal delivery too!

Fuck...I would have totally went to see Diamond Head but it's the same night as Mercenary in Ivory Blacks. If it's not too late and I've got money, I might head over to that afterwards.

Aye man, playing the Note on the 12th, then this Diamond Head slot on the 17th, then supporting Blitzkrieg on the 28th!
Busy month, also squeezing in a video shoot, a Dundee gig, an Ayr gig and playing at a biker rally oot in Stirlingshire!
