| Re: Connect Festival 2008 I'm almost tempted just to go for Grinderman, but there are a few decent bands like the Manics, The Levellers and The Breeders, so here's hoping no more crud bands are added.

| Re: Connect Festival 2008 I'm tempted, would be good to see Kasabian and the Manics but the £162-£175 ticket price for weekend camping + bus ticket is putting me off slightly!

| Re: Connect Festival 2008 I'm gonna end up spending a fucking fortune with weekend camping tickets and a tipi or yurt...
But it's my birthday and the closest I'll come to a summer holiday. |

| Re: Connect Festival 2008 Damn... I went and got my hopes up too high for this. Not happy with the line-up at all, would LOVE to see Grinderman but I could quite happily miss the rest of them, maybe watch Breeders, Manics & Merc rev.... To be fair some of the bands I most wanted to see last year were smaller US indie bands of the sort that may yet to be announced. |

| Re: Connect Festival 2008 Nah, there are some good ol' bands on this bill who are dependable live. And festivals are boring when they're only a mile from your home.
And i resent a festival that make half the bill REALLY difficult to read, even if it is just the days. When is Indian Summer announced anyway? I'm sure this is meant to be the last one.

| Re: Connect Festival 2008 Not worth the money yet I'm afraid.
Mind, Mercury Rev, Gossip, Manics, Elbow and Franz is not too bad. Grinderman would be worth it too.
But who's the headliners out of them? Only ones I could see would be manics, Franz Ferdinand havent done anything for ages, have they? If Kasabian headline, it kinda hits the nail in the coffin.
Who the fuck is Duffy??
Blah.

| Re: Connect Festival 2008 Elbow should be crucified for crimes against music.
Duffy is another coffee-table faux-soul teenage girl signed on the back of Amy Winehouse’s success.
Franz Ferdinand have a new album out sometime before the festival date.
