| Re: Connect Festival 2008 The only band I hadn't heard of was Grinderman even though all of you are excited about them. I was never a big Nick Cave fan, anyway.
I saw Geoff Ellis on the news last night waxing lyrical about the whiskies and fresh seafood available at Connect. It's a fucking MUSIC FESTIVAL, you moron. Sorry, "boutique" music festival |

| Re: Connect Festival 2008 Actually, last year I had a lot more fun hanging out around the place than watching any bands in particular. The stellar headliners just gave a bit of focus to the day—an ending to aim for. Except Primal Scream, they were shit.
I guess what I mean to say is that all that other stuff does matter. Connect was a much nicer place to hang out between bands than many other festivals I’ve been to.

| Re: Connect Festival 2008 I always get adopted at festivals. Little girl lost, right here.
Anyway, if just a few more good bands get announced, I wants to go. Kinda considering waiting till nearer the time and seeing what ebay has to offer.

Sorry, "boutique" music festival | I agree with the poprockster. The whole area with the Oysters (ok, yuck!), the salmon rolls (yum!) and the whiskey was a great space to chill out and feel a little less like you were at some ming festival with just burger and beers. That's made Connect a bit special for me, I just hope the slightly wanky bands announced so far don't attract a more bammy crowd. At the moment I'm on the brink of buying a ticket but just ain't sure yet, what else has the UK really got to offer this summer though...? |

And wo are the people taking the drugs, but the ex pill heads and acid freaks of the early 90's late 80's that have now brought their kids along and taking mushrooms on the sly. |
