| Re: Sjock Festival Turbo Ac's are amazing now they are a four piece, surf punk n roll - completly up your street. The Monsters, The Sonic and MC5 will blow us away, three days at a cheap rock n roll festival with lots of beer. Plus as soon as anyone hears your accent in Europe its free beer o'clock. |

| Re: Sjock Festival Now that I think about it my passport expires sometime around June or July - extra expense may become the deciding factor.

Watch out for the jokers, who will probably sent you to all corners of Gierle instead of showing you the shortest way. "People who come by train can enjoy a 4km-walk through an idyllic landscape and nice sights to see. Just follow the Sjock-walk signs which indicate the shortest way from the railway-station in Tielen to the Sjock-festival. If you choose to hitch-hike, use the main road to Gierle, but if you're unlucky and don't catch that ride, you'll have to walk 7km!!! | Has this been thought through?
Silly question.
Think the jokers dress as actual jokers or do we just need to guess?

This tiny village may be a mite tricky to get to.

| Re: Sjock Festival Even though this thread is basically just me talking to myself right now I still have to mention that not only have I stumbled upon a band with the awesome name of "The Powerkrauts" but have also found another one thru their myspace -
Hmmm?

Thought they sounded OKish on their myspace til the cover of "Man Of Constant Sorrow" came on.

| Re: Sjock Festival Black Cat Bone Squad sounds like a bad idea for a name. I still think we should deal with it, Im pretty sure we can convince someone to pick us up, Dangerfields played there last week. |

| Re: Sjock Festival Dangerfields will play anywhere though. Not ruling it out - just realising it won't be a simple hop-off-a-boat/plane job.
Bang on re: Turbo AC's by the way.

| Re: Sjock Festival Preliminary research done and cheapest travel option is looking like it may be the Eurostar which offers free onward connection to any destination in Belgium. Cheapest option from London is £59 return at the moment. We could Megabus it to London or pay extra for a connection from Glasgow to St Pancras.
Using the cheapest options as a guide it looks like we can cover travel & tickets for about £105. Only accomodation available seems to be camping so we'd also have to factor in the cost of any equipment needed.
