Re: Ash perform 1977

1977 was rubbish. This sort of gig is usually about a band revisiting their greatest triumph of an album.

They should do Trailer.

They play all the best songs from '1977' at every gig!

I like 1977, Trailer was much better though. After 1977, A Life Less Ordinary was the only other decent thing they produced.

Re: Ash perform 1977

Punkboy was always my favourite. Even better than the Helen Love original.

I really like Ash, by the way. Didn’t mean to sound so negative up there.

Re: Ash perform 1977

'Nu-Clear Sounds' is my favourite. I may be alone in this.

But the joy of seeing Ash for me has always been that they play all their hits. Of which they have loads. Really loud. Like pop bands are supposed to.

Re: Ash perform 1977

It's been so long since I've heard that album though I can't remember the songs, but this is pop tastic

Ash got rubbish when Weezer stopped releasing albums for a while.

Re: Ash perform 1977

Ash have a few good songs on each record, the sets they play are usually good so just playing one album would be crap. Having said that, i'm sure there's a lot of folk who would love this.

I have no desire to witness the secret track, as much as I pished myself laughing the first time I found it

It would have been more tempting if Charlotte Hatherley was still in the band.
