I've seen them live twice already, and the Garage is an absolutely appalling venue so I'm going nowhere near it.

HiFi Handgrenades are the support. Sound alright from the stuff on their myspace, but it's a tad generic.

Not too much stuff from the new album except ofr In vein, Help me and a couple others. Also played Bleeder, Good Bye Forever (for Jerry Finn), Warbrain, I lied my face off, Blue Carolina, This could be love, Radio, Old School Reasons, Private Eye, Emma, Crawl, Clavicle, Armageddon, Time to waste, Mercy Me. <-- Not in any order.

The band that opened in the end were pretty good, I've seen them a bunch of time but their name escapes me. Glasgow band, always get's asked at the last minute to open for bands like this, been around for ages. Jeez, their name is on the tip of my tounge. Not Eight Page Pullout, but from the same time and stuff, rockier though. I'm just aimlessly typing in case their name pops in to my head agian THE DAY I SNAPPED! Thats it.

So yeah, my throat is fucked now and I'm going to have a drink of water.

If I knew Day I snapped where playing I'd have popped down, but it was a bit late.

They seemed to be playing well at Leeds but their sound was shite, the bass was just trampling everything else down into a muddy mess. When it was only guitar, vocals and drums it was fine. And the bass player's voice still annoys me. Still, looked like they were playing better than they had in a few years.

I also noticed a stark improvement in their playing. Although, there was the typical "what song is this they are playing... I know it, i'm sure I do..." before the lyrics come in on Private Eye.

It was always a muddy bass sound that annoyed me with their earlier gigs I caught the snapped last week and they sound awesome. I was quite tempted to talk to Dan andrianno about mike park and ben weasel records, but I would have had to join the line on hanger ons.
