I have them all now. I kind of agree with you, although I prefer to think of them as original and nothing like the Stooges. Raise is one of the best albums of the 90s, Mezcal head is pretty good too, the song Duress is brilliant and the intro to Last Train to Satansville sounds so much like Buckley's Last Goodbye. I don't know what to make of Ejector Seat Reservation, it's their best named album but none of the energy of the first two plus what were they doing messing with The Birds lol. I like 99th Dream! Ha it's very Britpop as you say (they're much better than Oasis!) but it's really cool especially up full blast, they still have their signature guitar sound which I love.
Bit cheeky of them to make a Greatest Hits double album but it's on sale for £5 inc P&P
