SIN Metal Halloween Party!

Following our highly successful return night in September, we're proud to bring you another quality night of pure heavy metal!

SIN Halloween Party
Soundhaus, 47 Hydepark St
Friday 26th October 2007

Every month SIN brings you four live bands and metal DJs playing all things hard and heavy until the early hours of the morning. No emo, no indie, no techno, no hip hop - just heavy metal in all its forms.

This month we have some truly awesome bands for you!

IMMANIS are one of the most inventive and original bands to emerge from the Scottish metal scene in recent years. Combining monstrous riffs with overpowering synths and samples, they have been compared to Mastodon and SYL, but you really need to see these guys for yourself to understand!

SEVERANT have quickly established themselves as one of Glasgow's most formidable death metal bands. Impossibly tight and aggressive, they exude utter ferocity from every pore and orafice.

SENTIENT will appeal to fans of the melodic Swedish style of death metal. Contrasting melody and aggression in equal parts, they have the potential to become major players in Scottish metal.

CHAOPHERE combine a lot of influences into one unholy mass of metal. Raw, Cavalera-esque vocals and downtuned guitars meet programmed beats and electrofuckery. The end result will pound you into the fucking floor.

Your DJ for the evening is CALLUM from Glaswegian black thrashers Achren. He'll be keeping you entertained until the wee hours with Glasgow's hardest hitting mix of metal tunes. What do we mean? Stuff like:

AC/DC - Pantera - Iron Maiden - Dio - Slayer - Morbid Angel - Metallica - Megadeth - Cannibal Corpse - Exodus - Death Angel - 3 Inches of Blood - Black Sabbath - Judas Priest - Zyklon - Lamb of God - Arch Enemy - Death Angel - Motörhead - Anthrax - Sepultura - Nailbomb - Overkill - Kreator - Destruction - Onslaught - Celtic Frost - Satyricon - Children of Bodom - Manowar - Mastodon - Darkthrone - Saxon - Deicide - Cannibal Corpse - Amon Amarth - Napalm Death - Mayhem - Nuclear Assault - Grave Digger - Metal Church - Testament - Turisas - Finntroll and much, much more.

We'll also have the debut of the SIN Girls, who unfortunately had to cancel due to circumstances beyond anyone's control on the September night, big screen visuals and SINful drinks promos.

And of course, as it's October, there will be Halloween shenanagins and appropriate attire is encouraged! Best costumes will win tickets to upcoming gigs from Puny Human Promotions featuring some of the most important bands in metal!

Re: SIN Metal Halloween Party!

Just a reminder - SIN takes place tomorrow night! Our street team will be in the town with two for one entry passes before the event, so keep an eye out!

We're also pleased to announce that we've formed a partnership with another top metal record label - Earache Records.

Re: SIN Metal Halloween Party!

Was my first time at the SIN club and I wasn't really overly impressed with the music choice. From the list provided above I'd say I heard about 50% or less played. Definitely swaying towards Black/Death metal. "Heavy Metal in all its forms" didn't really describe the night for me.

The SIN girls were a bit...average. A quick dance to a 3 minute song where they tied up a teacher (who looked EXTREMELY uncomfortable!) and got their top off wasn't really that creative but it caught some attention as opposed to when then 'danced' to Motorhead later in the night. The smoke machines were a bit OTT too may I add! I was sitting next to the door and I couldn't see the stage! lol.

I thought the drinks were well priced though, and I had speedy bar service and the staff were really nice and I can't really complain about much else. I'm just glad I ended up going to London rather than SIN for my birthday at the end of September. I'd rather pay £3.70 a drink for a fair mix of tunes, and some decent air conditioning I think.

I'm not in any way taking this as a personal dig at anyone (I've seen the Cathouse Halloween thread!!! Haha) I just think you could take a few pointers on how to mix your music up a bit more...or word your adverts differently if you don't plan on doing this. And get the SIN girls on stage more and mix up their routines a bit more!!!! Cos they are infact wee stunners!

Cheers folks.
