The Pinup Nights Ladies Night doesn't have a sponsor, but then again neither does this season's Scottish Cup! It seems that sponsorship for events is increasingly hard to come by and although we banged every door (and knocked our heads off every brick wall) imaginable no sponsor was forthcoming. So our original plan of offering ladies free entry had to be scrapped in favour of a reduced entry fee of £3. But just look at what you're getting for your three quid! This is definitely the best Pinups bill ever assembled.

The Pipettes -
www.thepipettes.co.uk - are the female trio from Brighton whose infectious pop harmonies, polka dot dresses and choreography lit up 2007, with "Pull Shapes" in particular becoming an instant indie disco classic. Becki, Gwen and Rose are bringing their records to Glasgow, so expect "the best pop music possible". Glasgow's very own terrific Sons & Daughters -
www.sonsanddaughtersloveyou.com - will release their highly anticipated 3rd album "This Gift" on the 28th January, and the female half of this band - Adele (lead vocals, guitar) and Ailidh (bass, backing vocals) - will be at Pinups to DJ.
Xfm's Susan Hay -
www.myspace.com/susanhay - is a self-confessed "gig junkie" and is sure to play a popular and exciting set, and how could we have a Ladies Night without music selected by Manda Rin of Bis -
www.myspace.com/musicmandarin - a leading lady of the Glasgow indie scene for over a decade who has actually appeared on Top of the Pops (back when it mattered, or, er, existed!)

Basically we have noticed that lately stuff like Simian Mobile Disco, Kitsune, Justice, Liars, SebastiAn, Daft Punk etc was going down very well at the Pinups disco so we decided to get in touch with somebody who actually knows about this type of music and give them the upstairs room to get stuck in.
So, upstairs looks like being an amazing night all on its own, so watch out if you go to the smoking terrace via the Duplex Bar - you may not want to go back downstairs again!
Never again let it be said that Pinups doesn't look after the ladies!
