Do you get the last train from Glasgow to Lanark?

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, and apologise if it isn't.

Basically, it's about time that ScotRail got their finger out and made some changes to the train service which runs from Glasgow to Lanark via Motherwell, Wishaw, Bellshill etc.

The "last train" times aren't really too suitable to be honest, with a lot of gigs finishing later and people not being able to get from the venue to the station in time.

Following my last train journey which followed the usual pattern of everyone making a crazy dash to the station only to just make the train and no more, then spending the journey home talking about how it's time for changes to be made, I figured it would be worth a try.

I've thrown together a petition and plan to forward it on to the powers that be at ScotRail.

It may make no difference, but sign it anyway if you can be arsed. Please.

I agree, but I doubt it'll make much difference, the late trains up that neck of the woods were stopped due to trouble in Hamilton and Motherwell stations.

They still do a late bus?

Yeah, there's a bus at 4am I believe.

I doubt we would get a train running past 1am, but i'm thinking that one running even at 12:45am would make a hell of a difference to folk at gigs and the like.

I think the railway needs a serious overhaul, In London the trains run til 2 and 3pm, i'd get the train home to Paisley if they ran late enough. Would save alot of people getting taxis, although I'm unsure if it would be too much hassle

Nah, if anything you'll only get late trains back to nice areas.

They cancelled the last train back from Motherwell to Glasgow after the first T in the Park as they were worried about the trains being vandalised. I don't think they think these things through too intelligently.

Yeah, I'm at a gig in Tut's the night. The gig will finish at some point past eleven and my last train will have left at ten to. Uh oh spaghetti-o's!
