Firstly thanks very much to the 400-odd of you who came along to our "Circus" night at the end of September (probably a record Pin Ups attendance - visit the gallery at http://www.pinup-nights.co.uk to see 99 snaps of the action). It was an amazing evening and we wonder if any other club event in Scotland this year will match the heady atmosphere of fun and frolics which filled the Flying Duck. That is, of course, unless we can make PIN UP FRIGHTS even more fun!

So, what do we have in store for you on the 30th October? Well, the clue is in the name! FRIGHTS! In 6 years of Pin Ups we've never done an event on the Hallowe'en weekend before so we are most excited by the possibilities and have 101 ideas rattling round our tiny heads about how to make the Flying Duck scary. We will definitely have some sort of Haunted House for you to pay a visit to and loads more spooky chills and thrills besides! We want to see you all turning out in your best Halloween outfits and getting right into the terrifying spirit of things!!

Our bands for the evening were specially picked by us months in advance because for PIN UP FRIGHTS we wanted bands capable of putting on a stage show with lots of dressing up and drama. Deadliners shall be Edinburgh's RBRBR ( www.myspace.com/rbrbr), a dance/rock juggernaut who should be as huge as Hot Chip this time next year. Support comes from punk/comedy/rock/jig n reelers The Plimptons ( www.myspace.com/theplimptonsuk ), Louise against the Elements' female fronted pop attitude ( www.myspace.com/louiseagainsttheelements ) and last but not least Optimo Music's latest signings Louise McVey and the Cracks in the Concrete ( www.myspace.com/louiseandcracks), who will be launching their debut EP.

Our Gruesome Guest DJs will be 3 fine long-term pals of Pin Ups - Grahame Ferguson (a co-founder of Headphone Disco, Grahame has DJ'd throughout the UK, Ireland, Canada, America and Uganda this year alone), Craig McGee (man of many successful club nights, the most recent being WHITENOISEFEEDBACKDISTORTION) and Bjorn Sandberg (co-founder of Say Dirty Records and lovely Glasgow band Wake the President).

Will everybody turn up as Michael Jackson? Will we able to get the whole dancefloor doing the Thriller dance at midnight? Will you get a "trick" or a "treat" at the door of the Duck?

Get yourself along to PIN UP FRIGHTS to find out. IF YOU DARE!!

BOO!

Did that give you a fright? Go on admit it, it did, just a wee bit.
