Anyway just back from Queensland. Rained every day. Pissed in a new ocean. More details later.
Wilson: tell me about the Morton game. Was it a 3-5-2? Who was on the left? Templeman: nice signing. Would prefer someone for the left hand side tho.

Alloa game was quite poor, you know the sorta game.. can't finish our chances and them scoring the only two shots they had on goal. I didn't go though (no-one to pay me in ) so I dunno the formation, but I do know Coyle started in goal. http://www.mortonunofficial.net/hist...4122004Pt1.php |

| Re: Mick's Aussie Adventures Allright bitches.
Queensland was somewhat dissapointing. They had their worst weather for 20 years up there (or down there from your point of view). Saturday: get my skanky ass up at 04:00 to get a plane to Queensland. Only a 2 hour flight and I slept for half of it so it wasn't that bad. Stayed in a place called Coolangatta which is RIGHT on the Queensland / New South Wales border which meant that crossing the street from the hotel put you in a different time zone. Was really tired this day and didn't do very much apart from had a big meal at an all you can eat place and a few cheeky beers with my uncle and cousin. Jackie got I.D.'d and wasn't allowed in even tho she had I.D. I'll come back to strict Aussie drinking laws later but I had an early night for the next day. Sunday: We went to Dreamworld which, I think, is the biggest theme park in Oz. Not really that big tho but it does have a cool animally bit. As soon as we stopped I went to jump out the van and my shorts got caught on something and ripped them in 2 so I had to wait 15 minutes while my mum went and bought me new shorts. Anyway the first thing we done was go on this ride call the Tower of Terror. It's fucking nuts (wait til you see the pic of my uncle on those pictures they take on it). It's a big long fucking rail like a roller coaster goes on then a good couple of hundred metres (perhaps more) down the track it goes vertical up this tower which is about as high as Cumberland Court. It goes from 0-160 kph within three seconds and really bursts out so much your fucking stomach takes 10 minutes to catch up with you. The whole ride, about a kilometres worth of track, takes about 10 seconds at most and is fucking great.
Then I went on a shite rollercoaster called the Cyclone. Pretty average. Then went on those river rapid type things where you're on the circular boaty number. Was allright. Then a pretty average log flume. The log flume was very funny however because Jackie got abosultely wringing wet right through to her knickers and she had to buy a change of clothes.
The last ride I went on was The Claw which is like a circular Viking Boat that spins round. Goes a lot faster than the Viking Boat tho but still great. Made me dizzy tho.
Inbetween all this we went to the animally bit. I saw koalas and kangaroos and cassowarys and wallabies and hunners o' wee birdies and lizards and crocodiles and shit. Also saw these cool wee pygmy possums that are smaller than mice and really, really, friggin' cute but couldn't get a shot of them on camera. Monday: Me, my uncles and cousins went to the beach and got wet. The waves there are really fucking strong and it takes about 20 minutes to walk 20 yards when you're waist deep in it. Some waves got as high as me but were pretty easier to manouvre and body surf with and such so it was a decent day. Tuesday: We went to Surfer's Paradise (what a shit name for a town) and done some shopping and that nonsense. We went to an Irish pub (I've never been to Ireland but I doubt they're anything like "Irish" pubs) called Landsdowne Road and had some top notch irish stew and watched the 'boro - Man City game. Some nice goals there. Had some nice cider as well. We got absoultely soaked this day. The heaviest rain I think I might have ever seen. Went to a condom shop but, all in all, was a pretty dull day. Wednesday: Movie World. The Warner Bros. theme park. There's a load of things to do like watch how they do stunts and special effects and lots of other boring things so I didn't do that. I just went on the only three rides there over and over again. First of all is the Lethal Weapon ride which is similair to the Nemisis and Alton Towers in that it's fast, twirly and your feet are hanging below you. Next was the Scooby Doo ride which is fucking great because it, at first, seems like a crappy ghost train ride then, when you think it's done, a punk cover of the Scooby Doo theme comes on and you go on a huge backwards drop and it turns into a roller coaster in the dark. Really fun. There was also a really good log flume ride which you go backwards on sometimes as well. Thursday: Jackie and the girls went to Sea World to see dolphin shows and polar bears and sea lions and such but I wanted a night out in Surfers seeing it would be my last chance, probably ever, to do so. Now I'm not in the habit of taking I.D. out with me and was knocked back from every club and we had to stay in the same pub all night but it was a decent laugh with me, Woyum and my cousin Grant. Now going to how strict QLDers are with their drinking despite the fact I'm 20, look older probably, and have a few tattoo's and such they still wouldn't let me in but my 39 yr old uncle also got the knock back for not having his I.D. What a bunch of fuds. Friday: Another lazy day recovering from the night out before. I got really de-hydrated and had a drooth all day. Jackie and the women folk went to the most easternly point in Australia's mainland. Me and my uncle went to the pub later. There was a good band on and we'd been to this pub a few times and was probably the highlight of the holiday within the holiday. We got the 07:00 flight to the Gold Coast on the day we left because my auntie didn't want to waste the day but, to be honest, if we'd got the 19:00 flight we would have had time to get a shower and go out to the pub and enjoy ourselves rather than be tired all weekend and we could have stayed out later on the last Friday instead of getting up early on the Saturday again so, basically, in her attempts to save a day we wasted two.
Also during the week there was a tropical storm, which was nice, and I saw the winner of Australia's Big Brother (short, stocky black fella called Trevor) and I also saw Ant of Ant and Dec fame. He's shorter than he looks.
Not a bad holiday within a holiday I suppose but it pissed down every day and Jackie had no mates. I was stuck hanging round with my uncle Woyum for a week but that wasn't that bad.
Also, some of you may watch Neighbours and wonder why no one drinks pints, no one drinks pints in Australia. They get too warm. You either drink pots or schooners. Pots and slighly smaller than a half pint and cost the equivalent of between 75p and 150p (no pound sign on an Aussie keyboard) and schooners are between a pot and pint and cost between 100p and 250p (depending on pub and deals on at the time etc) but it's a good thing because you end up drinking them quicker and getting drunk on less.
Back in Melton now tho. See you all in 3 and a bit weeks.
