Diary of an aspiring tattoo artist, part fourteen.

| | Future Shock For some reason some tattooists/studios seem to believe that tattooing should stick to its traditional roots. This to me seems rather stubborn because as with everything advancements in technology can be used to make any job that much better/easier/more productive and as result the customer reaps the benefits. For instance, the Internet can be used to search out images should the customer not have one at that moment in time. Microsoft Word supplies all sorts of tattooable fonts without the need to trace the letter individually (and helps reduce the risk of spelling mistakes)
At the moment with the growing interest in tattoos and the number of developments out there technologically being involved in the industry is a very interesting thing at the moment.
My own personal contribution is that I am currently matching the inks we use with their closest corresponding Pantone markers so that any flash designs I do will be as close as possible to the actual finished tattoo.
This may be incredibly dedicated of me but is more likely just incredibly geeky. | | | |
