Well, it was nothing like that.
It can be a worry working with a friend, especially if they where a friend before you started working with them. I worked with Leon before I was an actual ‘friend’ per se, but I had never worked with Matt. I had a feeling we would be okay because he’s a pretty laid back, fun-loving guy.
Unfortunately this is where the suspense ends because there was absolutely no hassle at all. The three days where pretty smooth sailing. Matt took a day or so to get used to the layout and running of the studio and that was it.
In fact, it means I have nothing to worry about when he comes to work here full time in a couple of weeks. (Inside scoop right there.)
The only drama was the possibility that Leon might not make it back on Friday from Chicago due to the foiled terrorist plot. Even that was short-lived.
The Tom Waits gig was great apparently, but then again you have got to love a guy whose reason for touring this time raound was “We have to pick up fireworks in Tennessee and a guy in Kentucky owes me money.” | | | |
