At this the young looking man handed over a drivers licence and quickly turned his attention back to the flash sheets on the wall so his face was turned away from me. Even if I was feeling particularly gullible the picture on the drivers licence looked more like me than it did him.

“What star sign are you?”
“… Capricorn.”
“If you where born on the date on your I.D. you would be a Libra.”
“…”

Now, just to reiterate. The LEGAL age for tattooing is 18. NO, parental consent does not mean you can get tattooed younger and parents do not count as a form of identification.

In this case it wasn’t just that this fellow was misinformed he was blatantly trying to get tattooed underage. What makes it worse is that he was accompanied by someone who I would assume to be his mother.
