Help with writing a resignation letter

What letter did you end up using? I'm trying to write my resignation letter just now but everything I think of sound too cheesy! I hate this part of getting a new job...

I feel even worse because the new company I'm going to work for is one of the panel of Loss Adjusters that my current employers use.... and they are outsourcing work to because we are so busy just now.... Gaahh!

This is exactly what i ended up handing in:

Dear Cameron,

I write to inform you that I wish to tender my resignation as of Monday 26th of June 2006. Although I have enjoyed my time at SHIL immensely, I would like to return to being a full time mum.

I would appreciate confirmation of when my period of notice would end - I estimate it would be Friday 21st July given that by the terms of my contract I am required to give 4 weeks notice. I would like to take any holidays that I have accrued before the end of my notice period if possible.

I hope to keep in touch with the team at SHIL and wish you all the very best of luck with the future.

Well it was a nice job and a nice team and I wasn't leaving for any bad reasons so i wanted it to be a nice letter, and I don't think they would have taken me seriously had I signed it like that.
