| Re: Mamba Marketing I remember doing door to door for Scottish Power and it's fucking draining doing that shite but at LEAST I was working for someone with a basic wage and commission on top (although you could chose to go self employed if you could make more money that way and weren't too scared about a slow week/month/etc.). However for a DD Dual (gas and electric combined + paid by direct debit) you got a tasty £60. Even doing one of them a day got you £300 p/w. Hours were shite and I hated the travelling and whatnot but guys I worked with were busting a gut for two hours and picking up two DD Duals plus the odd PowerCard switch, Gas only, etc. and easily making £100 before lunch and then fucking off home. If they fancied a holiday they'd get stuck right in for a fortnight and come out with a couple of grand.
When we had our interviews we got the whole pish about making £1,000 a week easy and, for some people it is, but it aint really something you can learn either this sales malarkey. To get flung right in at the deep end, commission only, with no idea what you're letting yourself in for is outright lunacy.

I also like how a leading UK Banking Institution believes that hard up students standing in the middle of East Kilbride town centre drives sales more than media or in house advertising. I bet they think they wasted those millions on that advert during the Champions League final when they coulda just dangled carrots infront of idiots.
In other news my boss is stupid and ugly enough to fall for this shite and I hate him. He has just applied for a position at Mamba (not that he knows it just yet).
I look forward to going into work on Wednesday and have him tell me he's been offered a great opportunity in Glasgow...
FINALLY (hopefully... Insomnia's a cunt) I decided to go onto Cobra Group's wiki site where, on the talk page, our own Addy has been bigging us up
All editors are reminded that the purpose of a talk page on Wikipedia is to discuss encyclopedic matters relating to the subject page, and not to discuss the subject itself per WP:NOT#FORUM. Therefore I have deleted all the irrelevant discussion about the company as it simply does not belong here. A quick Google search yields a forum which has been discussing the company - feel free to post there or anywhere else on the internet about this, as long as isn't here. Thanks.
