| Umbrella Company Can anyone recommend an umbrella company? I am going to be doing a bit of contract work in addition to my permanent position so looking for an umbrella company to deal with all the nonsense that comes along with contracting. |

| Re: Umbrella Company I’d say that your best bet is to ask around your professional peers rather than socially … if you can, you’ll be better off going with someone who already knows and deals with your specific industry.

| Re: Umbrella Company The specific industry is pretty irrelevant. The reason I'm asking here is because the contractors that I do know have their own companies set up which they use but since I am only going to be doing this for a short period I don't want the hassle of that. |

| Re: Umbrella Company Is there any reason why you need to ‘be’ a company, rather than just a sole trader? You don’t really need anything official setting up, so long as you keep records of incoming and outgoing cash and submit a self-assessment tax form at year end.
