I've worked on site before but it was cash in hand and I don't have a CSS card. What's the best way of going about getting one?

The forum I scaffed that from seems to suggest its £17 for a test then £15 for a card itself. (or the other way round.)

And do remember that if you have a CIS card you'll have to fill in a tax return at the end of the year.
Sometimes the buroo will pay for you to get your card depending on yer circumstances. Worth asking if yer signing on.
