| Re: Work available I've been sending *shitloads* of applications away for months now and getting fuck all in return, think I've had 3 interviews and no correspondance for the other 197 or so CVs or applications I've sent out. It's a fucking joke. s1jobs is only good if yer wanna work in a call center, the people who advertise on Job Centre Plus aren't *actually* looking for staff and whatevers posted on Gumtree is 110% nonsense.

Seriously, how long does it take for someone to hammer out a form letter saying 'Sorry, but no' and email it to unsuccessful applicants?
Hoping that my new referee might give me the boost I need. *fingers crossed* |

| Re: Work available Off all the jobs I've had over the years, I've never had one that was the result of a CV or an Interview...
Always just word of mouth and personal recommendation.

| I found s1jobs pretty helpful, and I had loads of emails back. It still emails me every week with jobs it thinks I might be interested in too.
On another note, anyone a chef? |

| Re: Work available I have come to the rational conclusion that all the people you see working in the pubs, shops etc etc around Glasgow are, infact, cyborgs. Only way to explain how the fuck it's taking so long to find work when there are millions of places. Don't have to pay a cyborg by the hour, do you? Just program them to do whatever it is the job entails and away they go. Quite realistic looking ones too. Bet you Cyberdyne's behind this.

| Re: Work available Just saw this on gumtree:
tattoo apprentiship Quote:
here goes again, i posted this ad in the wrong place last week.
on offer is a tattoo apprentiship, i'm looking for unique poeple to apply. if your quirky and out there and have good art skills i'd like to here from you. competition will be tight for this vacancy so you'll have to stand apart from the rest.
requirements; you will have to send pics of yourself and your drawing skills, those who don't will not be considered. be different in your applicantion and dont post the usual reply of 'i really want this'. This is the reason i've chosen to post an add, you can be as free as you want with your application as you wont have to meet us supposedly intimidating artists lol
so be unique and lets see your applications roll in

Not entirely sure what I make of this ad, what with the howfing grammar.

It's just the 'real' jobs that are a bastard to find. |
