I'm helping someone to find a job at the moment and was wondering if anyone can name me some agencies for security work or are aware of any security jobs going at the moment?

Upfront are usually pretty good at getting you work quickly
a mate of mine works for group 4

Securitas are hiring. Retail and Static.

Pheonix Security
Anglian Security
MITIE always hire a bunch of our clients too. All types, and put ye through your SIA training and badge.

G1 are hiring for Tusk i think.
Upfront are always hiring, but where you'll get stuck is anybody's guess.
CPL were hiring for the garage but I don't know if that's still the case.

If it's doors/club/pub you're looking to do then fuck G4S or Up Front. My suggestion would be to take a wee tour round town and ask about jobs on doors where the security staff are obviously un-connected to either. There's a fair few good stewards who, since the introduction of the SIA [score]racket[/score] licence, have started up their own small agencies. You'll be better looked after, be working with people who have experience as opposed to 'training' and you'll have more say in the venues you're working in. | |

they aint such a bad company to work for, you'll always get shifts, the pay rate isn't the best but your always best to keep them as a back up idea, they keep every1 who ever works for them on the books, so you may as well give them a call
