| Self Employed Payments Can someone help me - im getting really pissed off to the point im gonna give up on background work.
OK, i work full time - £15000 but i have also joined a background artist agency.
I signed onto the agency in December and i got my first job at the end of april which came to a grand total of £129 (thats after the agent took his fees). the jobs are sparadic and most likely wont get many through (because i work full time and cant always take them up)
I then applied for self employment filled out forms and also applied for Low earnings certificate as i know my earnings wont be more than £2,000.
I received my certificate for low earnings but today i got through an NI bill for £43.70 which is calculated BEFORE april - during the time i wasnt getting any work from this agency. i have had no work before 25th April but they have calculated my bill weekly from the time i signed up with the agency to before my first job.
Can someone tell me what i need to do to fix this - apparently the bills due but i though beause they have issued me with a low earnings certificate that they would be able to see i am not liable for this and just not waste paper issuing out the bill.
Beginning to think its not worth doing the background work and might opt for non-payment stuff.
also........what happens if you never receive one of your payslips from the second job - apparently it was sent to my old address (despite being told it had changed) and the old landlady says its not arrived and been told that BBC only issue 1 copy :s.
