I had literally just got back from the airport/Rome about three hours previously and was taken immediately to the pub, where I subsequently got pretty hammered in a relatively short period of time. Before leaving Italy that same day, I’d also had the equivalent of at least 4 or 5 double shots of espresso in my cappuccinos, pastries and a fair whack of chocolate during my flight. Add this to rather a lot of wine just before we bumped in to you = bit of a bad combination for me, biochemically (and therefore, behaviourally it would seem, haha!)! I vaguely remember going "awright Mr Swanky, looking good, and look at Mrs Swankae, oooh!" but now the slightly sombre looking smirks make more sense.. it was meant in an entirely affectionate and complimentary (if still a bit skewed by drunkenness!!) way, but if you were heading to a wake, then that’s not so cool, feel a bit bad now SORRAE UNCLE BAZ!
x
I've apparently been 'spotted' a few times since I've been back… someone even shouted "Kirsten?? Kirsten, hiya, mon’ over!"
Didn't have a clue who they were, smiled politely and sped off hastily. All in one fluid motion. People to see, places to go an' aw that jazz, ken.
