It seems the crowd who tend to frequent the Squalid Cock these days are more *Ahem* insecure about themselves. Or more protective of their friends, this goes for both the girls and guys. If a friend/ workmate thought that their mate had been unfairly treated in a previous relationship (and if they fancied said person) they might get a wee bit paranoid about other peoples intentions, especially if they had been sitting boozing half the night.
