| Norwich Union direct crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap.... Did any of you work for this company, i left it in June and let me tell you it was the most soul destroying job i had ever done. Callcentres are bollocks, quote me happy don't make me fucking laugh. On the pluss side i know how to screw the system legally for cheaper insurance. If you did work for them and worked in the Bishopbriggs branch you might know me as Skippy the legend as my team called me. What was the worst job you ever had?

| Re: Norwich Union direct crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap.... I spent a week of the Christmas holidays one year helping to clean out an industrial reservoir at my dad's work for £150. It was stinking, stagnant and once it had been drained you were up to your knees in some slimy, lumpy sediment type stuff and hundreds of dying eels.

| Re: Norwich Union direct crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap.... Norwich Union Direct are the most frustrating people to have to deal with ever. Fact.
Other Insurer "Can we have your outlay documents so that we can pay you?"
NU "Why do you need those, we have told you our outlay"
Other Insurer "We need them to pay you"
NU "Right we are issuing"
Other Insurer"You need to give the outlay documents to court if you do that and we will raise our numerous requests for them to the court"
NU "Well, we have issued now"
Every. Single. Time.
Grrrrr - they are impossible to deal with.

| Re: Norwich Union direct crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap.... At the moment, the job I have (which i am sitting in right now as i type this) is totally soul destroying, but for different reasons. I work as a copywriter, which is (in essence) one of the first steps to a job that I would really like (press or broadcast editorial) but the combination of sitting in a grey office, with noone to talk to, nothing to listen to except the sound of other people typing and having to produce the same soulless copy to put on the hilton hotels websites over and over again... they've never managed to pay me properly and i have to wear "smart business dress" and its forty hours a week of turgid, boring shit.
Not my worst job though, that would be selling underground water supply pipe insurance, cold calling. The company I worked for ended up on Watchdog and I quit when I realised that, shit fuck, we are actually conning old dears out of quite a lot of money by scaring them into thinking that their supply pipe could burst any time and they'd be landed with a bill of thousands which they were "legally obliged" to pay, even if they didn't own the house. That was pretty horrible. |

In this message i put in a file that, when clicked on, would ask you a serious of questions with the same theme of am i annoying you. There was over 200 questions in it and whoever clicked on it (nearly everyone) could only get out of it by either going through them all or switching the computer off. Either way they lost a bit of money. I also sent a message saying how much i'd miss the company blah blah blah but underneath the message i had a hidden one as well. I actually slagged off the company in a poem and a few in the centre. One of the lines said i would burn the place down and that my boss slept with his mum, it was meant only for my mates. This message i had highlighted and turned the colour to white so no one but my mates who worked there would know how to access it. Needless to say one of my mates let slip to someone else and before i knew it, it had got around the whole callcentre and even made it to the other ones in Britain (4 in that day, the rest after i left). They actually contacted the police but thankfully nothing came from it. Have to say i crapped it though.

| Re: Norwich Union direct crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap.... Ah, so a fairly bog-standard breach of the Computer Misuse Act, with a bit of defamation and threatening to damage company property then.
Boo, nothing exciting. |
