| Paypal confusion I've just set up an eBay account for myself, so thought I'd get my own Paypal set up so that I can buy stuff. I am now completely confused. I was hoping to just get a free account, whack my debit card details on there and voila! But it seems the premiere account is the better one for eBay, so I thought 'I'll see what the charges are'. It seems it's not just a normal subscription fee, but it seems it's just a portion of payments that you receive are your fee. And it seems there is a charge for debit card/credit card payments even on the free account. Is that just if someone makes a payment to your account with a card, as opposed to through their paypal account?
Anyway, basically, would I be OK with the basic free one, or should I go for the premier one and deal with them getting a small percentage of the money I receive? I don't want to opt for the one where I'll lose out on money when I could get the same thing for free because I haven't noticed what the difference is.

Nice try.
The only difference I can see between them is tht on the premiere one you get charged for receiving payments from another paypa account, but you don't on the free one. So what benefits am I getting from the premiere that justifys the additional costs?

| Re: Paypal confusion the premier account is designed for people who want to buy and sell (ie, you can receive debit/credit card payments, but with the personal account it's limited). paypal still take a percentage of any money you receive, that's how they make their money. https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/we...tTypes-outside |
