| Its so frustrating...women will never be taken as seriously as they used to due to number of factors:
Britney Spears
SugarComa
Hungry record execs
sexist pigs like Limp fucking Bizkit
and many men who just refuse to accept that women can front a band just as well as a man.
I think there is something really cool and special about female vocalists (decent ones) cause its so rare.
p.s has anyone noticed the ad in the back of Kerrang! looking for a FEMALE ROCK VOCALIST WANTTED BY WRITER AND PRODUCER TO FRONT A MANUFACTURED METAL ACT.

And yeah, female vocalists do exist, but not enough sadly

| There are plenty of female vocalists in bands, successful or otherwise.
There are just so many more guys. One of those mysteries of the universe.
I honestly think we as a culture are well past most of the points you raised Stellar. But I know they do still exist. Depressing really.
But there is hope.
For starters, buy better magazines.
May I recommend Bitch, Bust, Moxie and Rockrgrrrl - all of which you can get from Borders.

| The only bands i really like with female vocals are Defenestration and Save Ferris. Ska I don't mind so much with a female vocal, but in metal i usually can't stand it, especially Sugarcoma
