| Romance. Ploughing through that Marriage thread got me thinking, who here is actually romantic? I know its a pretty vauge term, but I'm no really wanting to get into "what is romance", we all know if we're doing something romantic.
And for the girls, is "romance" important?
I've been told many times that I don't have a single romantic bone in my body, which isn't true...I've got one. But really, I have my moments.
Anyway, here's a wee poll. |

| Re: Romance. If a girl says you're not romantic in the slightest, it normally means she thinks you're extremely sweet and romantic. Fuck knows why, probably something to do with masculinity.
I'm romantic in the same way I'm angry or witty. It happens occasionally, I don't define myself by it.

| Re: Romance. I find myself really romantic, and would be smitten to squishy bits if someone perpetrated gestures similar to my undertakings, or gave compliments as I've crafted (sounds far slyer than brute reality). Poor waifs just have misaligned notions of romance.

| Re: Romance. I feel that I am quite romantic. I always do small meaningful things (making soup in a flask and popping in past ill boyf/buying small things that I know they'll like/listening to them and picking up on things they like so can buy them ace presents etc). What is Romacne though? I'm kinda jaded in that respect recently so am unsure.

| Re: Romance. It's not all flowers and chocolates, anyway.
Amy's got it right about nice gestures. That's what I think romance is about.
My boyfriend is very chivalrous and I think it's a very nice trait to have which is also quite romantic.
Me, I'm romantic in that I removed a skelf from his toe with tweezers which was causing him a lot of pain.
I'd rather have him do nice little romantic things for me in daily life than the odd big grand, expensive gesture. Much more thoughtful. although I wouldn't turn my nose up at a trip to Paris. |
