| Bloomin' O2! 2 months after upgrading my phone and renewing my contract with a rather chunky but handy smartphone with all the email and web access gubbins i was quite chuffed.
Then today i got a nice wee text telling me i was kicking the baws out of the internet and it was costing me a fortune.
After a wee call it turns out the 'unlimited data bolt on' isn't compatible with my tariff?
So i'm left with the choice of changing my contract from a nice wee loyalty one i've enjoyed for a while (£15 for 250mins/400txts) to one thats going to be at least £30 (plus£7.50 for the data) for 200mins/200txts... fuck that.
Alternatively i stick with my £15 p/m jobby but then i'm lumbered with this brick of a phone that i can't use email on with it costing a fortune.
now i've got them to knock off all the data charges i've incurred over the last couple of months (as expected as i was told it was included)
I'm pretty sure if i piss and moan a bit i could get the phone swapped, but i was quite enjoying all the emaily stuff. Baws.
Canny be arsed going to another provider but it looks like i'm going to have to.
pish.

| Re: Bloomin' O2! well they sold you the phone with a contract including your unlimited data, they (as far as i know) should be liable to provide this service.

Unlimited data, 600 mins, 500 texts for £35 a month. Quote:

Aye, you might have something there since they've evidently agreed that they had originally said data would be unlimited and are knocking off the data charges. | Im pretty sure im right, You where sold a contract at x per month with x amount of data, you agreed to this contract, Im sure they have a legal liability to provide that service when they sold you the contract as this is what you agreed, as long as you've done the five requirments your contract is legally binding for the term they offered.
If you want ill check my Law book and get back with specifics -

| Re: Bloomin' O2! yeah, they said it was a bit of a cockup but didn't really seem to offer any decent solution, bit of a pain in the arse. they just kept saying that my tariff wasn't compatible with the bolt on, as it was too old (but they didn't realise this at the time)
I'm not sure how the tariff thing works but i assumed that they could manually adjust any part of it. But aye, if they want £37 quid a month for this shitty WM6 smartphone i'd be as well getting an iPhone.

pish. | You've been sold a product that, to your knowledge, was fit for purpose. As it isnt, they should replace it with something that is.
Oh look, a banner ad for O2 - haha!

| Re: Bloomin' O2! I'm still of the opinion that O2 are cunts. They're less cunty in the Glasgow branch than the Oxford branch, for some reason, but my general experience is largely negative. Burn them. |
