| Re: Russell Howard. Frankie Boyle recycles a lot of his Mock The Week stuff for his stand-up, as much as it's funny, it takes the gloss off him a wee bit.
And apparently it's that Rev Steppenwolf's jokes too anyway.

| Re: Russell Howard. Aye anyone who has seen any of Frankie Boyle's live stuff will find most of it very familiar.
But I still like him.

| Re: Russell Howard. I like Howard Boyle and Parsons, but Parsons seems a bit slow for the show usually. Agree that Boyle is hilarious because he's a cock, and his Scotland stuff is usually accurate as well.
As Mock the Week guys go, anybody else a fan of Hugh Dennis. Always loved his stuff.

| Re: Russell Howard. Hugh Dennis' comedy doesn't really work on Mock The Week.
It looks as bland as paper flakes next to Boyle's.

| Re: Russell Howard. True, but there was bits of Frankie Boyle's stand up that appeared totally unscripted when he was interacting with the audience, but then you'd see him doing it again to someone else at another show.
I can't remember the story he's doing but he starts getting really serious about something and focusing in on something he's saying, then realises he's been staring at one member of the audience while this has been going on and pulls back and says "Sorry, I don't know why I'm looking at you LOL", sorry about that" *acts all embarrassed*". First time it's funny, the second time it's "EHHH you're cheating us of any unique funny standup-audience interaction moments". Or some such shit.

| Re: Russell Howard. This is why you should only ever go to see comedians when they have bona fide new tours.
Or if your the kind of person that listens to one song on repeat for hours on end.
