Ferrets are far far far easier to look after than cats or dogs and only marginally more bother than hamsters etc. Cleaning them out is easy (dirty newspaper in bin, clean paper in cage, repeat once or twice daily and scrub cage once a week). Ferrets sleep most of the time, bout 18 hours a day, so they don't need constant attention. YOU WILL LOOK INSANE when you walk a ferret and everyone will stop you. You MUST get one, then we can be mad goth ladies with ferrets together and realy freak out hte establishment
