[a bit off topic] as part of the new licensing laws it's illegal for alcohol to be removed from licenced premises outwith licenced hours under any circumstances. so for example if bar staff are going to a house party after their pub closes, and they buy alcohol from an offy on the way to work, they can't then take it with them when they leave. it makes about as much sense as the nonsense we used to read about in FHM's "taliban watch"
