There are rules about what you can and cannot post about in the forum, but there's nothing to say you can't post that someone in your family dying has made you miserable.

Maybe you think it trivialises death or something, but as I said in my neg rep (ooooo), people cope with things in different ways.

If Forbes tells me not to post that stuff I'll listen but you're not an admin. Besides, I wasn't using the forum as an outlet for grief, I'll do that in my own way, it was simply a one line indicator of my feelings at the time. Look through it and you'll see a fair few people have posted similar, either in that thread or in WOYM.

For 24 hours now my smoke alarm has been beeping once every 30 seconds. If someone doesn't come from the emergency team tonight to fix this (hooked up to the mains so I can't disconnect it or remove the dead battery, seems to be connected to the light circuit which is dead and which I can't reactivate myself) then I'ma gonna be raging

And the emergency team can't do anything about it. I can't afford an electrician so I have to wait to phone the office in the morning. Except that I've been doing that all day. And only one fully qualified member of staff works there, and she only works 4 hours a day. So tempted to put notes through all my neighbours doors apologising and telling them to complain to the agency so we get it fixed
