How about this one for size? I actually ended up doing a gig with him back in November, putting on My Revenge (awesome hardcore band from Vermont, check 'em out at www.my-revenge.com) in Glasgow. They were originally meant to play Dundee but that fell through, and the guys up there posted on UGS to see if anyone down here would pick it up - we both ended up asking to do it, and so agreed to get it sorted together.
All seemed fine in the run up to the gig, I sorted out bands, food and a place to stay while he arranged P.A and booking the venue. Two of the bands had to pull out due to unforseen circumstances, but we were still on course for an alright show; that is, until I get a phone call about 6.00pm telling me the venue says there's no gig on that night.
Now to be fair, the venue was Black, who are well-known as being a shower of fleecing, yuppie bastards, and they didn't really have a consistent reason as to why they had cancelled the gig. However, one of the reasons they did give was that the deposit hadn't been paid, and the more I hear about Mark and his antics, the more I think this was probably the real reason. Luckily the new Hellfire up the road was just opening up, and they were having a party to celebrate, so they let us in to do the gig. That was fun!
I didn't want to be too harsh on him a while ago because I thought he was getting more into the whole DIY thing, and assumed that his pay-to-play "past" was merely a bi-product of youthful naivety and hanging about with that kinda crowd. I was wrong though, the kid's obviously a tosser and if I was his age/height I'd probably have twatted him one by now.

I'm also losing faith in him now aswell, I just hope he pulls through for this gig, which I will hold onto the hope of untill the day.
