| the practice pad no more it's been bought over by a dude with money to burn. in it's place is gona be a studio that berkely would find hard to match. 5 pearl masters 6 piece kits ordered (gold sparkle has arrived and i almost jizzed), new old amps, none of yer jcm2000 pish. biggest ampeg rigs that can be fit into the rooms. which means there's gonna be hunners of old stuff to sell. £150 for a pearl export with all hardware anyone? there's gonna be a major rebuild, enhancing what are already among the best built rooms in the city for rehearsals. we got more front door parking than all the participants of the dakar rally could fill and food to make the maggie jealous. pyas.

| Re: the practice pad no more very true mate. i've had some crackin times when it was the pad, great people and great laughs. unfortunately due to variuos circumstances the place was within a month of folding completely. at least this way there is still something left of the pad. |

| Re: the practice pad no more Glad to see it's getting a revamp, I stopped using it a while back because the gear was atrocious and wasn't being maintained.

| Re: the practice pad no more Aye, it was always something. Amps not working, or cymbal collars being missing. Wee things that conspire to wear out your equipment.
Glad it's being redone though. |

| Re: the practice pad no more aye calum, i've managed to keep my job ...so far. man, it's been 7 years already. t-bone barfin into a bin after a bucket still ranks highly in it's hilarity
we're gettin in a wummin to do all the cookin n stuff so i'm no sure what they'll be selling but i know the burgers still kick ass. wolfdogs may be extinct!
the basic deal was that for about 3 years the gear in here had seen almost no maintenance whatsoever so the obvious degeneration set in. new ownership, new impetus, a new standard in practice thankfully we are now able to carry out many repairs in house which means gear is gonna be in primo condition from now on in - or at least once we get all the new amps n p.a stuff. we're having a clearance sale in about 3 weeks or so. i'll probably post a list of the gear we're selling up here so if anybody wants something, pm me and i'll sort ye out.
markmono - i've not been sober since i was 14 and i'm perfectly capable of answering questions. just very slowly. lose the fear man!
just outta curiosity, which guitar amps would people like to see in the rooms? we've got a range of jmp's, 800's and 900's but we're wanting to provide a wider selection. any suggestions? |

| Re: the practice pad no more I'd stick with the tried and tested personally, but something exotic never goes amiss and is handy should someone want to hire it.

QUOTE]Id beg to differ lol
the tsl is smashing all rounder! I reckon kennyboy is right, stick with the standard 800 or 900 and have one or two rentable! Rectifer/5150 would be popular!
or get a H&K tri amp and il be there everyday!! |
